Aarik Danielsen is a Pushcart Prize-nominated writer and journalist. Rejecting the title "content" creator (however you pronounce it), he hopes to create meaningful dispatches from a place of healthy, almost sacred discontent.
His debut essay collection, tentatively titled PIECES OF THE NIGHT, is due out with Cornerstone Press in summer 2027.
Aarik covered the arts for more than 15 years at the Columbia Daily Tribune.
His writing is forthcoming or has appeared at Pleiades, Image Journal, Tupelo Quarterly, Split Lip, Rain Taxi, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, Whale Road Review and more.
Aarik lives in Columbia, Missouri, where he sometimes teaches at his alma mater, the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
